Eating Gilmore
My Favorite Dishes
7.14 Farewell My Met
Sookie's Lobster Bisque
Even if you aren't a fan of seafood, I encourage you to try this one! This bisque is so rich and creamy that (not to brag) it ended up being the best soup I've ever eaten. The secret to all that flavor is to cook the lobster shells and process them into the broth (don't worry, you strain the crunchy bits out)
4.19 Afterboom
Brian's Cheesecake off the Floor
I had the opportunity to meet John Cabrera who plays Brian Fuller. When I told him about my project, he said I had to make the cheesecake Brian ate off the floor on a dare. He had some ideas to make the cheesecake look like it had ben on the floor for a while, so go see how it turned out!
2.09 Run Away Little Boy
Sookie's Apple Cider Ice Cream
This was my first time making my own ice cream for this project, and a had a lot of fun! Because I cooked through the show chronologically, I often had dishes that used ingredients that were out of season. this led me to having to make my own apple cider for this one (but I loved it).
6.08 Let Me Hear Your Balalaikas Ringing Out
The Lemon 'Why Did You Drop Out of Yale' Martini
For this episode, I was really struggling with what to make since there wasn't any food mentioned. When I had the idea for a pun cocktail with everyone's favorite Jess moment, I knew I had to jump on the chance!
