Boozy Blue Raspberry Slushy 7.04 S'Wonderful S'Marvelous
“I love this movie!” “Check the glove compartment.” “Oh my god!” “Hold this.”
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz voda
1 oz raspberry liqueur
¾ oz blue curaḉao
½ oz lime juice
1 tsp cream of coconut
1 ½ cups ice
Directions:
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and add a straw.
While I might not like Christopher Hayden, I do think this drive-in movie date for Lorelai is very sweet, so I wanted to make something from this date. When I was a kid, I used to love getting Icees at the movies and blue raspberry was always my favorite flavor. I decided to turn that childhood favorite into an adult drink that’s perfect for beating the summer heat. Because let me tell ya, it’s been brutal down here in Texas.
As I begin to wrap up this initial project of cooking my way through all of the episodes (still can’t believe I’m on season 7!), I’m left to wonder what’s next for Eating Gilmore. A few ideas have been percolating over the last couple of days. If you haven’t been on my Instagram stories, I can fill you in. I’ve been sharing some (let’s just say) hot takes on some of my Gilmore Girls opinions which have prompted people to encourage me to start a podcast. This is something I’ve never wanted to do, mostly because I didn’t think I had anything new to contribute to Gilmore Girls discussions, but apparently, I do! I’m not committing to starting a podcast, but it is something I’m toying around with on the idea. If I do, I don’t think I’d want it to be purely Gilmore Girls because I think I would run out of things to talk about at some point. Another idea would be to turn this blog into a sort of newsletter where I would talk about my different GG opinions. But who knows! I still have the rest of season 7 and A Year in the Life to cook through, so right now that’s what I’m going to focus on.
